The speleology club consists of volunteers that have been specializen on different domains: biospeleology, alpine speleological techiniques (TSA), topografy, carstology, cave photography. The club is member of the Romanian Spleological Federation and its' members can participate in diferent national and international activities: symposia, conferences, schools, expeditions, etc.

Objectives
- Instructions/qualification of members;
- Increasing the number of active members;
- Atracting specialists in clubs' activities;
- Organization development;
- Where the case, exploring again, mapping and research of cavities in Suceava County, but not limimted to the area;
- Exploration in search of new cavities;
- Bat protection (research, conservation and education);
- Making studies and documentation to declare protected areas the cavities that requiere it;
- Making management plans for temporary protected cavities;
- Taking into administrations protected cavities and executing the writes and obligations stipulated in the management plan;
- Implementing the activities stipulated in the management plan of the areas the Foundation is involved in;

Activities
Initiation into speleology
The course is addressed to all that wish to discover speleology as a hobby.
It can be organizrd by our organisation or in partnership with different institutions.
The course consists of specific speleological concepts with practical applications: biospeleology, (TSA), protection and cave ecology, cave photography, etc.
At the end, the participants will be taken to visit caves in the area and apply that they have learned.

Exploration and mapping activities
Since the begining, the members of the club have made research and mapping of caves in Suceava County, but not all have been discovered.
We have made a synthetis of our exploration that can be studied here

Protection activities
The cave is a fragil place because the interaction with the outside world was minimal for thousands of years. If there are no measures to protect the caves, in a short period of time, all our discoveries will turn into dust and they won't mean much.
We belive that when we discover a cave we assume responsability to protect it. Our responsability as speleologists is to protect not only what we have discovered but all caves and cavities we research, map or visit. – The institute of Speleology "Emil Racovita"

Bat protection
Research
Over the years we have researched different caves (Bats Cave in Rarau mountains, Mantz's Mine, Mine 1 and 2 and those around Tibau area) and their surroundings with the aim of learning about what bat species we can find there and what they do where.

Conservation The aim of conservation is to assure a protection regim in which bat species and their habitats can be kept undisturbed for as long as possible.
Thus, after studies and making scientific documentation, the Bats Cave in Rarau Mountains has been declared a scientific reservation, according to H.G. No. 2151/2004.
Bat monitoring program All research and legal comitments that European countries (including Romania) have after signing agreements like Eurobats, bind to monitoring bat populations on their territories.
In Suceava Country, our organization participates in the monitoring program with 4 important sites for the area of North-East. One of them is the Bats Cave in Rarau Mountains that shelters hibernating collonies of over 2000 specimens of M.myotis and M.oxignatus. these species are in the Annex of Habitats Directive.
In winter the monitoring is made one time, in January, and in the rest of the year, from outside, with the bat-detector. All data is collected in standard forms.
Information, awareness
– "European Bats Night" Program
Aim: infroming local comunities and tourists about the role and importance of bats.
This is an international event addressed to all nature lovers. The objective is the protection and conservation of bat species and their habitats.
Eurobats organises "European Bat Night" every year, at the end of August, through NGOs in Europe.
Our organization has organized this event for the first time in 2001.
As activities in this event we have:
– courses with pupils (from kindergarden to university). Teachers invited us to talk about bats, their way of life, importance and protection;
